NFTA Forage Lab

Frontier Mills' Forage Lab for On-Site Testing

You need accurate, reliable feedstuff testing to increase your livestock’s performance, which is why we purchased our forage lab in 2012. To expand the usefulness of our NIR machine and testing capabilities and to better match the needs of the nutritionists, we worked with Caltest to further develop our testing capabilities. As a result, we can now process a majority of forage samples in-house, saving time and expense. The program expansion allows us to provide more detailed and specific results to use for balancing rations, decisions on purchasing, selling, pricing, and advertising forages. In 2018, the lab was updated again to better serve our customers, and we’ll continue to make updates as needed to provide the most accurate and comprehensive testing.
